You should meet with your Academic Advisor in Welcome Week to confirm your selection of optional courses.
Students must follow 120 credits of Taught courses. At least 90 credits of these must be at SCQF Level 11 and at most 30 credits at SCQF Level 10. Of these, there must be:
30 credits of Compulsory Courses;
At least 40 credits of Standard Courses;
At least 20 credits of Mathematical Courses;
Up to 20 credits chosen freely from the lists below.
In addition, there is a 60-credit dissertation.
Every effort is made when setting the timetable to take into account commonly chosen options, however students should consult the timetable when making their choices: http://www.ph.ed.ac.uk/timetables. Note also that not all optional courses run every academic year.
