NOTE: This programme is available to study part-time (PT). PT students must complete the same requirements as full-time over two academic years. The dissertation must be completed during Year 2, after progression to the dissertation stage has been confirmed by the Board of Examiners. All course choices are subject to the approval of the supervisor. Students are advised that course availability may vary across years subject to staffing arrangements.

MSc Philosophy Proseminar

Select exactly 20 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Note: Part-time students are strongly encouraged to take Proseminar in their first year.
AND

Level 11 courses in the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences

Notes:
All students are strongly encouraged to take PHIL11203 the 0 credit Phil Skills (online) course in semester 1.

Remaining courses may be drawn from any Level 11 Philosophy course.
OR

Dissertation in Ancient Greek, Roman, or Islamic Philosophy

Select between 0 and 60 credits of the following courses
Notes:
Students who meet the prerequisites for the Dissertation in Ancient Greek, Roman, or Islamic Philosophy (PHIL11238) may choose to switch to this course instead of the Philosophy Dissertation (MSc Dip) (PHIL11001).
