Postgraduate Professional Development (PPD) is aimed at healthcare professionals (e.g. doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics, clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, dieticians) who want to advance their knowledge and develop their professional skills in critical care.
You may take a maximum of 50 credits worth of courses over two years through our PPD programme, and these lead to a University of Edinburgh postgraduate award of academic credit. Alternatively, it may be possible to transfer your credits and allow you to study towards a Masters, Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate; but you must ensure that you complete the compulsory courses required for these exit awards.
Any time spent studying PPD will be deducted from the amount of time you have left to complete a Masters, Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate programme. Please contact the programme team for more information about changing programme.
