Please note that all students must pass INF1A (Informatics 1 - Introduction to Computation INFR08025), and INF1B (Informatics 1 - Object-Orientated Programming INFR08029), before they are allowed to progress into Year 2 of this degree.

Some third year courses are prerequisites for specific fourth year courses, and you are advised to consider your plans for fourth year when making your course choices.

The Research in Management course is compulsory for students who plan to choose the Management Honours Dissertation in 4th Year.

Students who are members of Edinburgh University Formula Student may request a concession from the School Curriculum Approval Officer to replace System Design Project with Informatics Experiential Learning (Level 10). Approval will require written permission from the IEL-10 tutor confirming your eligibility for that course.

These are Computer Science courses in both semesters open to third-year undergraduate students on Computer Science joint degrees.

Notes:
These are courses in all Schools other than Medicine, Veterinary Studies, or the Centre for Open Learning, and include courses normally taken by fourth-year students. Decision Analytics BUST10133 is a compulsory course in the fourth year of this degree and may not be taken in third year.

Courses are only permitted under this option if the 'normal year taken' is 'year 3 undergraduate'. For suggested Year 3 courses, see the third year of the DPT for the Business and Management (MA Hons) or Business with Decision Analytics (MA Hons) degrees.

Select your project options from either Group A (School of Informatics) or Group B (Business School) below. The Research in Management BUST09001 course is compulsory for students who plan to choose the Management Honours Dissertation BUST10049 in fourth Year.
