Please note that students with ESRC funding will be required to take the following courses in addition to the compulsory courses listed and can therefore only choose 20 credits of IMES option courses in Semester 2:
- PGSP11016 Research Skills in the Social Sciences: Data Collection (20 credits - Semester 1)
- SCIL11009 Core quantitative data analysis (20 credits - Semester 1)
- PGSP11631 SGSSS Core: Becoming a Confident Social Science Researcher (20 credits - Semester 1)

MSc Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies Dissertation

Must be passed at 50% and taken during Block 5 (Sem 2) and beyond
