Human Rights and Civil Liberties (U00120)

This course begins with the conceptual analysis of human rights and civil liberties. Consideration is then given to their protection by general international law and regionally in Europe. One or more subject areas of civil liberties is then studied in depth to demonstrate how domestic law, including the Scotland Act 1998 and the Human Rights Law 1998, protects them.
