| Course description |
The major theme in this fourth year course is the management of transitions in the nursing care of people with needs related to mental health rehabilitation and recovery, particularly those with longer-term mental health problems. These transitions include both transitions in health status and management of care across contexts and boundaries. Building on knowledge and skills gained in earlier years of the programme, the students are now exposed to the complexity of potential multiple health needs, and problems of chronic illness. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
To build on the knowledge and experiential skills gained in the theoretical and practical components of the previous years of the course.
To analyse in-depth, the major issues in relation to the management of transitions.
To explore in-depth understanding of therapeutic and caring dimentsions of nursing and care interventions with people with needs related to mental health rehabilitation and recovery.
To develop in-depth knowledge and skills in the cognate areas relevant to the care of people with needs related to these people. |
