Year 1, Academic year 2011/12, Starting month: SeptemberFor progression from the first to the second year of the MArch you must pass 120 credits. 240 credits are required for the award of the degree. A minimum of 100 credits must be taken in Architectural Design Studio modules. Students must pass Academic Portfolio 2 to achieve exemption from ARB/RIBA Part 2. Some Architectural Design Studio modules will be linked over two years (integrated pathway) and will therefore have prerequisites for entry. Notes:With the exception of Studio A and Studio B, all the above are compulsory courses which must be taken at some point during the 2 year MArch Programme. You must take at least one of Studio A or Studio B during the 2 year MArch Programme [and subject to approval you may be allowed to take both Studio A and Studio B]. Students must follow either the Integrated or the Modular Pathway Design Studio, they cannot be combined. Notes:Over the 2 year MArch programme you must take a MINIMUM of 100 credits from Design Studio [including at least 40 credits from Studio A or Studio B].
