Degree Programme Table: Epistemology, Ethics and Mind (PgCert) (Online Distance Learning) (ICL) (Part-time Intermittent) (1-2 Years) (PTPGCEPIMD1U)

Year 1, Academic year 2014/15, Starting month: September

  • Notes: A total of 60 credits of courses within 1 - 2 years must be successfully taken to achieve the PG Cert.

    PG Certificate students must take one of the Philosophical Methodology courses during their studies. Students with no previous experience of philosophy will be required to take the Introduction to Philosophical Methodology course in Year 1. Students who do not have a strong academic background in Philosophy may be able to waive this compulsory course at the discretion of the Programme Director.

    Any student who is not required to take Introduction to Philosophical Methodology in Year 1 and does not choose it as an option must take Advanced Philosophical Methodology in Year 2.

    Students should be enrolled on a minimum of one course per year.

    The Programme Director must approve choice of courses.

    This is the first year that the programme is running; with this in mind please note that course availability is limited.

    Courses with 'Advanced' in the title have the corresponding non-advanced version of the course as a prerequisite, though this requirement can be waived at the discretion of the Programme Director.
