SummaryIndicative course content
To consolidate professional awareness of methods of working, making, presenting and documenting work practices in different contexts.

Aims of course
1 To demonstrate enhanced professionalism in the making, presentation and promotion of sculpture, research, drawing and visual thinking.
2 To consolidate appropriate methods and processes to record, document and present studio practice.

Mode of delivery
Presentations, lectures, crits, studio, workshop, events, talks, exhibitions, project spaces.
Course description Various topics will be introduced during the academic year.

Articulate different presentation of artistic work.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Studio 2 (Sculpture) (ARTX08016) AND Research, Drawing and Visual Thinking 2 (Sculpture) (ARTX08017) AND Professional Practice 2 (Sculpture) (ARTX08018) AND Art 2: Postmodernism and After (ARTX08025))
Co-requisites Students MUST also take: Studio 3 (Sculpture) (ARTX09037) AND Research, Drawing and Visual Thinking 3 (Sculpture) (ARTX09038) AND Art 3: Visual Research (ARTX09046)
Prohibited Combinations Other requirements This course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.
Additional Costs ECA students are required to pay for the cost of materials used throughout their programme of study.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. PRESENTATION Demonstrate an advanced awareness of professionalism in the making and presentation of work.
  2. ANALYSIS Select and present appropriate documentation in a clear and professional manner.
  3. CONTEXT Evidence a range of individual and group approaches in different contexts.

Graduate Attributes and Skills Manage time, deal with obstacles, attend to visual material, assess and evaluate own and others work.
Study Abroad Erasmus and International Study Abroad in Year 3 may be applied for.
