  • Notes: Progression to Honours normally requires successful completion of the first two years of the curriculum with an average mark for Archaeology 2A and 2B combined of 50% or higher at the first attempt, and a mark of 50% or higher at the first attempt in Social Anthropology 2 and in Ethnography.

    Notes:Students intending to take the fourth year option Archaeological Fieldwork are required to undertake 10 weeks approved practical archaeological work in the vacations between the end of their second year of study and the beginning of their fourth year of study. Students who wish to combine the Archaeological Fieldwork option with a dissertation in Social Anthropology, will be required to complete their 10 weeks Archaeological practical work during the summer vacation of second year and the easter vacation of third year in order to leave the summer vacation of third year free for their dissertation fieldwork in Anthropology.
