Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Read fluently and understand a variety of literary forms in Italian
  2. Gain a broad historical perspective of the development of Italian literature from the Middle Ages to the present
  3. Recognise and assess the interplay between national cultural context and literature
  4. Develop a critical and comparative approach to literature
  5. Explore literature through associated disciplines such as history, philosophy and the literature of other languages.
