Notes:
The MSc in Applied Linguistics programme consists of a combination of compulsory courses and optional courses. As some courses may not be available in particular academic years, students should consult the current academic year's course information on DRPS.

NOTE: This programme is available to study part-time (PT). PT students must complete the same requirements as full-time over two academic years. The dissertation must be completed during Year 2, after progression to the dissertation stage has been confirmed by the Board of Examiners. All course choices are subject to the approval of the supervisor. Students are advised that course availability may vary across years subject to staffing arrangements.

Notes:
Students cannot choose Introduction to Phonology and Introduction to Phonology & Phonetics together.

Select between 20 and 60 credits in this group.

Option Courses 2 - MSc Applied Linguistics

Select between 20 and 60 credits of the following courses
OR

Option Courses 3 - MSc Applied Linguistics

Select between 0 and 40 credits of the following courses
Notes:
A wide range of level 11 courses are available within and without PPLS. With the Programme Director's approval, a student will be allowed to fish wide and choose from these to complete their credit count
