Notes: Students wishing to progress towards legal practice should note that passes in the following courses are required to qualify as a solicitor in Scotland: Delict, Public Law and Individual Rights, Business Entities, Evidence and Criminal, Property, Commercial, Succession and Trust Law.
All 80 credits of optional courses can therefore be drawn from Law level 08 courses.

Notes: For the purposes of classification the average over 100 credits on the language side and 140 credits on the law side is used. The 140 law credits comprise 60 credits from year 3 (translated marks) and two 40 credit courses taken in year 4. The 100 language credits are all from courses taken in year 4, which have different credit weightings only for the purpose of classification, such that Language paper 1 counts for 40 credits, Language paper 2 counts for 20 credits, the Oral counts for 20 credits and the option remains at 20 credits.
