    For candidates entering the third year of the programme from 2016-2017, entry into third year will require (i) passes in all courses (240 credits) in the first two years, (ii) a mark of 50% or above in Economics 2 at the first attempt and (iii) a pass in Statistical Methods for Economics.

  • Notes: For candidates entering the third year of the programme from 2016-2017, entry into third year will require (i) passes in all courses (240 credits) in the first two years, (ii) a mark of 50% or above in Economics 2 at the first attempt and (iii) a pass in Statistical Methods for Economics.

    Students wishing to take the Geography Dissertation must take Research Design in Geography AND EITHER Qualitative Methods in Geography or Quantitative Methods in Geography.

    Students MUST take 3 all of Essentials of Econometrics, Topics in Microeconomics and Topics in Macroeconomics, but may defer a maximum of 1 course until year 4. Students who intend to take the Economics dissertation are strongly recommended to take all 3 courses in their Junior Honours year. Several Economics level 10 option courses have one or more of Essentials of Econometrics, Topics in Microeconomics and Topics in Macroeconomics as pre-requisites.
