Students are required to enrol in 120 credits each year.
You are automatically enrolled in Research Design for Physical Geography (20 credits) and Physical Geography Year 3 Field Course (Spain) (20 credits).
You must then choose either 20 or 40 credits from:
Sedimentology, Climate and Tectonics (20 credits)
Structural Geology and Tectonics (20 credits)
If you choose only 1 from the above (20 credits), you then have 60 credits of optional courses from Level 9 and 10 courses in the School of GeoSciences.
If you choose both courses above (40 credits), you then have 40 credits of optional courses from Level 9 and 10 courses in the School of GeoSciences.
Whilst you can select any Level 9 and 10 courses from the School of GeoSciences, courses with Earth Sciences and Geography are the most commonly taken in your programme and are therefore shown below in the Degree Programme Table. To access the full range of courses in the School, copy and paste this link into your browser: http://www.drps.ed.ac.uk/25-26/dpt/cx_s_su849.htm
Choice for Geography courses must be submitted via CAPS which is a system to ensure fair allocation of spaces.
Courses from other subject areas are subject to availability. Not all course combinations are possible due to timetabling.
