Notes:
Entry into Honours requires (1) an *average* of 50% across both the mandatory Philosophy courses standardly taken in the second year, Mind, Matter and Language (MML) and Knowledge and Reality (K&R) achieved at the first attempt and (2) a minimum of 40% in each course (MML and K&R) achieved at the first attempt and passes at 50% or above at the first attempt in Greek 2A and Greek 2B, or Greek 2A-ex beginners and Greek 2B.

Philosophy and Greek Dissertation Options

Notes:
A dissertation MUST be taken in Final Year in either Philosophy or Classics. Where the dissertation is taken in Philosophy, students can either do a single long 8000 word dissertation, or two 5000 word essays (coursework dissertations). If the two 5000 word essays are selected students should choose two courses from Philosophy Honours programme Collection (Philosophy Honours Year 4), as available.
