Notes:No Previous knowledge of Portuguese in necessary; a pass in a modern foreign language or a classical language at SCE Higher grade or equivalent evidence of linguistic proficiency in normally required.
For Linguistics 2Lh students must have passed: English Language 1 or Linguistics 1A or Linguistics 1B.
 

Year 3, Academic year 2010/11, Starting month: August

  • Notes: Entry into Honours normally requires (i) passes in all six subjects taken in the first two years, and (ii) a mark of 50% or above at the first attempt in the second year of the relevant Modern European Language.

    At least 30 weeks of approved residence in the relevant countries. The minimum period of residence in the country of either of the languages will be eight consecutive weeks
