COURSE OPTIONS This DPT has 3 set(s) of course options with the following rules. Select exactly 20 credits from the following list of courses for the Programme Collection: 'Chem Compulsory Maths (AM1/MM2 S1)' (ROU_P_UTCMSTB1_8) , during Semester 1
OR Select exactly 20 credits from the following list of courses for the Programme Collection: 'Chem Compulsory Maths (AM1/MM2 Foundation S2)' (ROU_P_UTCMSTB2_8) , during Semester 2
Notes:If selecting this option these courses must also include Applicable Mathematics 0 (MATH07002) AND Mathematical Methods 0 (MATH07001). AND Select exactly 60 credits from the following School Collection: 'School collection schedule A to Q, T and W level 7 or 8' (SCH_A-Q/T/W_7/8) , as available. Notes:Including where possible: Applicable Mathematics 2 (MATH08031), Mathematical Methods 2 (MATH08032). Depending on individual student timetables, Innovation and Enterprise for Scientists and Engineers 1 (MAEE08003, 20 Credits) may be taken in year 1. For students to take Marketing (BUST08004, 20 Credits) in year 2, they must take Business Studies 1 (BUST08001, 40 credits) in year 1. Students who gain a pass in Marketing are qualified to study a greater range of course options in years 4 and 5 than those students who have not done so. Before selecting your non-compulsory courses please ensure that you have met with your Director of Studies. |

Notes:These courses are usually taken in Year 2, but Innovation and Enterprise for Scientists and Engineers (MAEE08003) may be taken in Year 1, depending on individual student timetable. To take Marketing (BUST08004), students will need to have taken Business Studies 1 (BUST08001, 40 credits) in year 1. AND Select exactly 40 credits from the following School Collection: 'School collection schedule A to Q, T and W level 7 or 8' (SCH_A-Q/T/W_7/8) , as available. Notes:For students entering Year 2 of the degree programme directly (known as entry with Advanced Standing), Chemistry 2X (CHEM08018) is strongly recommended. Chemistry 2X is compulsory for students transferring into Year 2 of the degree programme with a pass in Biological Chemistry 1B (CHEM08023). Depending on entry qualifications, students may also require to take mathematics courses. It is recommended that at least 20 points of courses be taken from courses within the College of Science and Engineering and it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that students on this degree programme take Materials Chemistry 2 (CHEM08021). |
