Year 2 Academic year: 2025/26, Starting in: August

Notes:
Please note the following requirements for progression into Year 3 (honours) on your degree programme:

1. All your compulsory courses must be passed on the first attempt ( this means achieve a grade of 40 or higher and not need a resit). If a pass is not achieved on a first attempt, students will be required to change degree programme to continue as the pass on first attempt requirement has not been satisfied.

2. Students must pass Psychology 2A and Psychology 2B with an average grade of 50% or above (both must be passed first time at 40% but additionally, the average of both course grades must come to 50% or more).

3. Must pass one Year 2 Business course with a grade of 50% or more. The Business School has stopped operating 1st attempt elevated hurdles for progression from year 2 to year 3. We do still require 50% on certain courses depending on the Programme, but that 50% no longer has to be at 1st attempt

In order to achieve this joint degree with Psychology (Hons), students must meet BPS accredited degree requirements. More details on this can be found on the British Psychological Society Accreditation page on the PPLS Undergraduate Hub. Most importantly, when selecting your courses you must be mindful to select courses that cover a breadth of the required areas of study to meet these requirements. This will be across your Year 3 and 4 of study. Your course enrolment survey and guidance will help you do this correctly.

Students who meet the university requirements for graduation, but who fail to meet the BPS accredited degree requirements will be eligible for the award of the unaccredited (Hons) Psychological Studies and Business. It is a student's responsibility to ensure they meet the requirements for accreditation, and if you do not, you will be transferred to (Hons) Psychological Studies and Business automatically before graduation.
